Is It Safe to Remove Lashes at Home Using Oil? A Step-by-Step Guide for Easy and Gentle Removal | Lash Extensions Seattle

Hey everyone, it's Danielle here, your go-to lash extension artist in Seattle!

Today, I'm answering a common question for people who have had their lashes done at other salons: How to safely remove your lash extensions at home. Let's dive in!

[Step 1: Gentle Cleansing]

First, start by gently cleansing your lashes with a mild cleanser. This helps to loosen the adhesive.

[Step 2: Steam]

Next, steam your face for about 10-15 minutes. This helps to further loosen the adhesive.

[Step 3: Use an Oil]

Apply oil  to a cotton pad or q tip (coconut /olive oil) and gently swipe it along the lash line.

[Step 4: Gentle Removal]

Using a spoolie, gently brush through your lashes to help loosen any remaining extensions. If any extensions are stubborn, avoid pulling and repeat the previous steps.

[Step 5: Rinse and Moisturize]

Finally, rinse your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. Apply a gentle moisturizer to nourish your lashes and skin.
