Hi! My name is Danielle Winkels, founder of The Lash Bar Seattle.

My vision for The Lash Bar was to create a positive, peaceful environment for people to come and feel beautiful. Between the products that I use and the way that I style the lashes I have created a unique technique to achieve a natural and non-damaging set of lashes for all of my clients.

I believe lashes should not be a distraction but instead a beautiful enhancement to the eyes.

High-quality results begin with high-quality products, so I only use the best of the best!

 

We do not carry synthetic lashes, only velvet lashes. (Velvet lashes are a softer, lighter, more luscious lash which is not only healthier for your natural lashes but gives a more natural, delicate look and feel.)

The adhesive used to apply the lashes is made by Xtreme. It is hypoallergenic and the main ingredient is the same main ingredient plastic surgeons use in suture-less wound closures. I became re-certified through Xtreme just to be able to carry their adhesive because I think it is the best of the best! It is the perfect balance between having a strong hold for long lasting extensions, but not so strong that it will irritate your delicate eye area.

Instead of using tape to cover your lower lashes, a hydrating under-eye pad will be applied. 

​

During service you will be in your own private room on a comfortable, heated-optional bed with blankets and a contoured pillow for your neck.

Most clients tend to fall asleep during service for the ultimate Beauty Sleep. 

When the service is complete you will receive your own "Magic Wand" to use on your lashes between fills.

​WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

​

Eyelash Extensions are a popular service and product that lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes, eliminating the need for mascara and providing a look unobtainable through use of eye makeup alone.  At The Lash Bar, lashes are applied using a single lash extension to each individual natural eyelash, one-by-one, for a natural, beautiful and flawless look.

Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions as well as day-to-day wear.

WHAT DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LOOK AND FEEL LIKE?

​

​With proper application, meaning one eyelash applied to one natural lash, the look and feel is completely natural. No one will know you have extensions. They will just think you were born with beautiful, luscious lashes!



HOW LONG WILL A FULL-SET OF EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

 

Eyelash extensions should last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. We want your lashes to last as long as possible and will have a post-care session with you on how to care for your lashes. Everyone's experience will differ based on day-to-day activities, but on average you will come in for a fill every two to four weeks.


HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH FULL-SET TO CHOOSE FROM?


Prior to application, we will have an in-depth consultation to find out which Full Set best suits the look you desire as well as your lifestyle.  Each set varies by the amount of lashes (ie, volume). The same goes for fills - if you only require a little touching up, a Level 1 fill will do. If, on the other hand, you would like to add more volume, the larger the fill the more volume you will receive.  ​

I recommend always making your appointment for the larger full-sets or fills if you are on the fence to ensure we have plenty of time.

HOW SHOULD I ARRIVE TO MY APPOINTMENT?

​

Please arrive without any makeup in the eye area. This will ensure the best bond to your natural lash, which in return will help them last as long as possible.

I also recommend using the restroom prior to arrival as it is very difficult to do so mid-treatment!

ARE YOU CERTIFIED?

​

I became a licensed esthetician and certified Lash Stylist in Southern California (the land of beauty!) in 2011. I later became double-certified through Xtreme Lash in order to carry their top notch adhesive!

​
